Understanding the relationship between stream flow, sediment loads, transport capacity and channel geometry is an important component of stream improvement work and an invaluable tool for water resource planning studies. ERC is experienced conducting sediment sampling, developing sediment transport models and analyzing results in support of both planning and design level studies. We have performed geomorphologic studies to define scour depths, size material for stable channel design, establish appropriate fluvial parameters for restored stream channels and assess effects of flow changes on long-term channel morphology.
