Peter Stitcher
Aquatic Biologist
Peter holds a B.S. degree in Environmental Science with a specialization in Freshwater Aquatic Biology from Oregon State University. Educated on the salmon rich waters of the Pacific Northwest, and seasoned among the tailwaters and freestone rivers of the Rockies, Peter’s study and specialization have been the development of vibrant, sustainable, balanced, trophy fisheries and multi-use recreational waters.
As a Fisheries Consultant with ERC for more than 10 years, Peter brings to the field experience in the assessment, enhancement, and development of sustainable aquatic environments. “I utilize the approach of the sport of fly fishing through the lens of a biologist to break down the sciences of entomology, fish feeding behavior, stream dynamics, and fish habitat use to ensure every river restoration project creates a successful, enhanced fishery that optimizes the ecological function of the stream system.”
