Lisa Shea, PE
Sr. Engineer
Growing up in the plains of South Dakota, Lisa always envisioned a life in the mountains. After receiving her B.S. in civil engineering from South Dakota State University, she accepted a position in Denver Colorado, and while work has taken her to South America, Africa, and Alaska, her home base has remained Colorado. She has completed several advanced engineering courses in geotechnical and water resources at the University of Colorado in Denver, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Colorado and Nevada.
Lisa joined the ERC team full time in 2014 but has worked jointly with them on several projects over the past 12 years. In her 25 years working as a civil engineer in the mining industry, she developed a diverse background in geotechnical design aspects, stormwater control, preparation of design reports and permit documents for regulatory review and approval and construction oversight/Quality Control Inspections and testing.
When all is said and done, Lisa’s first passion is spending time with her family and friends. An active lifestyle with biking, hiking, and enjoying what Colorado has to offer is a big motivator for her. Her two young kids keep her busy with sports, music and homework.
“The last two and half years with ERC has allowed me to broaden my experience with stream restoration projects, dam and pipeline inspections, compiling permit documents for submittal to governing agencies, and hydraulic/hydrologic design.”
