Mason grew up hiking and skiing in the rain-soaked state of Washington. He continued to grow his love of the outdoor while earning his Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree at the University of Portland.

He then followed those passions to Colorado where he began working in the field of water resources. When not in the office, Mason can be found rock climbing, skiing, biking, hiking, or camping.
